The latest cask ale to hit the Nicholson's shores from the excellent Moor Brewery in Somerset, is 'Moor Confidence' - with an unfined twist in its tail!
Moor and Nicholson's are both hugely passionate about beers strong in flavour, which is why we're keen on championing beer in its most natural and best state. Moor Confidence is an unfined ale, which means it doesn't contain finings and preservatives as most beers do, allowing the yeast and hop flavours to intensify, providing a better mouth feel and flavour profile.
Justin Hawke, head brewer at Moor, says that 'For autumn we were inspired to brew Confidence, which is a richly malty and bitterly hoppy premium beer. The deep colour and reddish hue fits the season perfectly, and the toffee flavours marry well with the spicy hops. Drinking it unfined adds a further layer of complexity and enjoyment.'
