RSSNicholson's pipe in the Scottish ales this Winter

With 2012 now fully under way, Nicholson's continue to please with a Winter ale selection featuring four fantastic ales from bonny Scotland. The dilemma comes when you have to decide which one to try first!

Do you try Cairngorm Black Gold, a wonderfully rich stout that recently won the gold medal in the stout category at the National Winter Beer Festival (and silver overall). Or ensure you don't fail with your decision by enjoying Inveralmond Lia Fail, a 4.7% beer with a satisfying sweetness and delightful chocolate notes?

Alternatively, you could reach for the tranquil islands of Orkney and joyfully sip through a pint of their Wayfarers IPA. Or head for the city of Edinburgh and sample Double Dark from Caledonian - the only survivor of Edinburgh's original 40 brewers.

Whatever you decide on when you're next in a Nicholson's pub, you can be sure you'll be greeted with warmth, generous hospitality, and a cracking pint of real ale. In fact, why not take advantage of Burns Night on Wednesday 25th January, and toast Rabbie Burns himself with a pint of Scotland's finest!
