Welcome to The Victoria Comet

Famous for once being two pubs

You will find The Victoria Comet in Newcastle, directly opposite the central station - however you won't find another like it.

Step in to discover a traditional pub of unique character, revered for its eclectic range of real ales and its quality pub food, which are served, as they should be, with a generous measure of famous British hospitality.

A fascinating past

This building has been used as a pub since the 1800s – in fact, it once housed two pubs. The Victoria on the left and The Comet on the right eventually merged to become The Victoria and Comet Hotel. The pub closed 75 years later but now we've restored it to its former glory and christened it The Victoria Comet in homage to its glorious past.

One of a kind

The Victoria Comet is one of many rare gems in theNicholson's collection of great British pubs, reputed for their distinctive buildings, intriguing history and vibrant atmosphere.
