This summer we celebrated our 3rd annual Gin Festival, with more than 40 gins to sample at each of our pubs across London, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and many more.
Plenty of you enjoyed our collection of new & exciting gins from around the world, as well as re-creations of old gin styles that were brought back to life for the modern gin drinker. From sweet and fruity sloe gins, summer cups and Old Tom styles, all the way through to the juniper heavy and robust navy strength gins.
We’ve been perfecting pubs since 1873 and are proud to have over 140 years of botanical heritage. So, throughout our Gin Festival, we took our guests on a taste expedition serving the finest gins of all kinds.
For this Summer's Gin Festival, we collaborated with the Cornwall-based distillery, Tarquin’s, to produce a special one-off summer treat. Infused with ripe strawberries and a hint of lemon verbena plant. The quintessentially British tipple went down extremely well, with locals and was available exclusively in each of our Nicholson’s pubs.
The rising popularity of gin in recent years has meant that production of the spirit has experienced quite a bit of a global boom. Gin distillers are now popping up all over the world, all with a wide-ranging selection of new delicious, weird and wonderful recipes!
World Gins typically let the juniper berry take the back seat so that the chosen botanical can really shine!
Keep an eye out for our next gin adventure! In the meantime, why don’t you come and enjoy our stellar selection of premium & world gins — served in a tall glass over ice and garnish of course!
Register on the Nicholson’s app today and grab a gin & Fever-Tree tonic or mixer for only £1!
We kicked off this summer's Gin Festival with a launch event in the new Pavilion Garden space at Doggett’s Coat and Badge (link to Doggetts website). We took our guests through a botanical journey into the world of gin at Nicholson’s, offering them the chance to sample some of our brand new Festival gins, including our limited-edition collaboration with Tarquin’s, and the Ableforth’s Summer Fruit Cup. Take a look at our video from the event and see what we got up to during the evening.
